On the occasion of the German Reunification anniversary, George Bush is host to Chancellor Helmut Kohl and President Roman Herzog at Stuttgart. In his speech, President Bush assures that the Reunification between the former east and west Germany would warrant a secure future in Europe.

Lech Walesa, George Bush and Richard von Weizsaecker, former German President, met at Gdansk where the Solidarnosc Movement was born. Poland is supposed to join NATO during the Madrid Conference.
